Carhartt is a global premium workwear brand with a rich heritage of developing rugged products for workers on and off the job. Experiencing several outages every year, Carhartt started evaluating cloud-based alternatives to replace its aging IT infrastructure. After evaluating the costs and benefits of cloud compared to a hardware refresh for its existing hyperconverged infrastructure, Carhartt decided to migrate workloads for database, security, electronic data interchange, and facilities systems along with applications used by its apparel design teams to Azure VMware Solution. This move allowed Carhartt to leverage its existing VMware investments, skills and tools while gaining speed and scale with modern, managed Azure infrastructure.
